The Egonians spread across it on their own: they farm, quarry and build, found towns, discover writing and gunpowder and flight, take up religions, trade, betray each other and go to war. You never place a building. You watch, and you interfere. Send rain on a drought or lightning on a temple. Raise mountains, carve canyons, sink a city. Answer your towns' prayers, or refuse them. Shape each people with your creed: make one village clever, strong or fierce, give it commandments, and unlock covenants. Step down and live as one of them.
